I predict 3rd to Ottawa. Question we are throwing around. Would you trade Price straight up for the first overall pick?

As a Habs' fan I would do that in a heartbeat. However, Price's contract would require the Canadiens to retain on it, plus add a ton of value. Don't see the Rangers being interested in an aging veteran goaltender when they just cut ties with one.

AS a diehard wolves fan glad to see him go to LA as he will see more of him with the Wolves and depending on the virus we could see him here till his overage year. Going to Ottawa we would have seen him play much more in the east. Since we have to come to the realization that the OHL starting up with 3000 fans in the stands will not be happening in the 2021 season. With the announcement the World juniors will be played in a bubble and the NHL now projected to start Jan 1st, its a done deal. Starting without fans teams would be forced to refund season ticket holders who renewed their tickets and would probably never get a lot back.

Ill never understand the reasoning from both sportsnet and the Kings for even mentioning that he is black. He is an 18 year old top notch hockey player...period

Perhaps because black people are in a big fight for equality right now? And sports and politics have ALWAYS mixed, regardless of what the idiots will try to tell you?

Not to mention Byfield was very excited about it and was saying how he wants to see more black kids playing hockey.

Imagine being upset about all of that lmao.

Looking at the Kings depth chart at center they sure are in no rush to hurry Byfield. Two years away is not out of the question as he will be late to qualify for the AHL. Could be good news for Wolves fans. I could see LA possibly wanting to see him go to Europe now to fast track him. What do you think?

First congrats to the young man and all Sudbury fans you deserve something “big” like this to happen! Number 2 behind Alex Lafreniere is not a bad place to be. Second it would seem logical To send him overseas and bring him into the Kings camp with that extra jump for his first professional camp.

Watching the draft and the desk, for what it is worth, they predict 24 to 36 months for Byfield stating LA is only in the 6th inning of their rebuild. Interesting we could have him longer than most posters were predicting. Never could see him taking the next step next season on any team. Just too much talent in the depth charts and the Q being one of the youngest players in the draft. With OHL restarting most likely in 2022, we would probably see him 0ne season as his OA year would be in the AHL pending any changes with respect to eligibility of players going forward do to the virus.

This may sound strange but I never thought, until they mentioned it yesterday, of Quinton as a Black hockey player.....I just thought he was a talented kid....
