Staal and Fast together needs to remain. Third guy can change, but those two together just makes sense.
Jesper's game is subtle, but he does all the right things. Very valuable player.

Yeah, I bet the biggest Jesper Fast fan in the world is Rod Brind’Amour. “Subtle” is the right way to describe it. You never notice Fast except when he’s deflecting a pass, blocking a shot, screening the goalie, pinning someone to the boards, etc.

He’s the definition of a “glue guy”.

I agree with all of this, except in the last 3 games he has been noticeable, he's made tons of really smart plays that actually do pop off the screen.

I'm wondering if this year's Fast is what we thought we were getting last year, when "glue guy" was actually just a kind way to say "not noticeable".

Hey guys, oil fan here.
How has Bear been for you so far?
Loved ethan in edm, but Foegele has been a beast so far and letting ethan go opens up time for Bouch.
Hoping Bear prospers!

To me he’s been doing what’s asked of him, which is to be quietly supportive at ES and provide a regular shift on the PK.

I think everyone here was a big fan of Foegele. He’s a good kid and deserved to get paid.

I would agree with that. Much of last season he was just roster filler. Very safe roster filler, a guy you didn’t worry about, but he didn’t do much. This season he looks significantly more engaged.

Bear’s been good.

Through 3 games, a weird, significant amount of plays where he skates just a few feet on the right side of the offensive zone, mid-way between point and half wall, and makes a horizontal pass to someone in the high slot for a one-timer. Seems to be a thing for him.

Thought he was the best player on the ice for a couple of stretches in the first. He’s been great so far and I think Abby’s mention of him saying last years weirdness was a big contributor to him being not so noticeable.

Yep, he’s been noticeable in holding the line and reversing the flow of a clearing attempt or pass from down low. He just seems really comfortable in that spot.
