Near where sand and waves meet.
Has he shown anything that indicates he can coach to players' strengths? Telling a line of AHL+ guys, "Gegenpresse für Scheiße!" doesn't seem like it cuts much wind.

Bruno's biggest enemy is Bruno. 54 games in and we still don't have anything resembling consistent defensive pairings or lines 2-4. The RHD situation also lies with Trotz bringing in Schenn on that deal when Carrier, Fabbro, and Barrie were already there. Sending down Tomasino as one of two waiver exempt players to bring up Afanasyev and Jankowski to boost scoring .... only to have the head coach play them roughly 13 minutes is counterproductive.

Step 1 - figure out who is Josi's defensive partner. Fabbro? McD? Barrie? Random beer vendor? Pick one because it has cascading impacts.
Step 2 - determine roles of Novak and Glass. Are they centers? Wingers? One of each?
Step 3 - put the alleged scoring wingers with centers. Vange with somebody. Afanasyev with somebody.
Step 4 - put 4th liners on the 4th line. We're two years from Trenin's anomaly. He isn't a 2nd/3rd liner with his play this season. Same for Smith with most line combos. Trenin/McCarron/Smith is a grind line that can chip in and puts guys like Evangalista, Jankowski, Glass, Afanasyev, Tomasino (if recalled) in more of a scoring role.
Step 5 - reign in Lauzon's roaming to hit for the sake of hitting. Physical play has its place but not when it compromises positioning. He's shown that he can do just that but the coaches need to enforce it.

At least tonight's bourbon was enjoyed early.

We could always try him at forward. Can't produce any less offense than our bottom lines are right now.
