Near where sand and waves meet.
I dont disagree at all, we could use him especially since Bruno isnt playing the kids. But I dont think Nashville would be getting the 'chip on his shoulder' version of Duchene everyone has seen this year and is raving about.

Dagger goal just scored, especially considering Nashville started playing. If Novak buries that breakaway...
The kids aren't 20g players yet. This season Josi and Nyquist aren't 20g players. Trotz moved out primary scoring then replaced it with tertiary.

The team lacks GOALS. That isn't a narrative, it is reality. His assists are four to McCarron, two to Pärssinen, two to Evangalista, one secondary to RoR thru Foudy, one each to Novak, Forsberg (secondary), Barrie (secondary).

As things stand, Gurianov is expendable. Two injuries from now, players become needed. That is why so many no names are claimed lately ... teams are suffering from injury induced depth problems. This is the real world, not single player video game land.
If Tomasino is creating assists those definitonally turn into goals lol

This team has Sherwood, Jankowski, Gurianov, McCarron, Parssinen, Tomasino, Afanasyev, Foudy and press boxed Vange for 4 spots, basically. That's 5 injuries away from trouble (or 4 if someone got claimed), and that's defining "trouble" in a fairly loose way for a team that isn't playing well to begin with. And there's always the option of claiming no names as you say if it's that worrisome. You can complain all you want about people thinking it's a video game but bottom 6 depth filler forwards is not an issue.

100 years of the NHL disagree with your proposed way of handling waivers. So either EVERY general manager in history is right or you are.

If everyone disagrees with it why are so many no names being claimed?
Because those are the players risked this time of year and teams with injuries are making claims to fill spots. Guys like Brayden Pachal Contract, Cap Hit, Salary and Stats - CapFriendly - NHL Salary Caps and Declan Chisholm Contract, Cap Hit, Salary and Stats - CapFriendly - NHL Salary Caps claimed.

Novak gets the elevation on the backhand to pull us back to within four after the crap PK.

Yes exactly which is why your argument that nobody would risk their no name players unless they're playing a video game does not hold water

If you discount that they were waived in the first place, then it's obvious they are getting snapped up like hotcakes. :sarcasm:
