Galchenyuk's crossbar, deflection, goal line, and out with like 2 minutes left in regulation is a vastly underplayed storyline. If that had gone in - and it just as easily could have - we would likely have been headed back to MTL tied 2-2, with all the momentum on their side, and needing to possibly win 2 of 3 on the road.

That made Marty's goal even sweeter for me.

I was scared the whole game we would lose. I was quiet for the entire OT. And I jumped up and celebrated for that MSL goal like any Ranger fan I expect did.

However I didnt really take from that game much. thought that is just me.

Looking back at it now, and researching the last 10 years of Rangers.

There is probably only Brad Richards OT goal 2 years ago that beats it. And maybe 1 goal last year that competes with it. On that note, Malik shootout is up there. And that is really it.

So yea it probably ranks 2nd in post lock out goals.
Maybe higher

I mean, if we are including non-playoffs post-lockout. callahans playoff clincher in OT against the Canes, Drurys goal in the last game of the season against the Devils, the comeback win over the Bruins, Jagr breaking records are all way up there too.

This goals legacy depends on what happens next.
