We need to. Because a couple of losses and we can be right back on the edge. Our back is against the wall I think. It may take about 95 points to make it in, the way the Panthers and Bluejackets are playing. Playing Pitt at the end of the trip and coming home against Tampa in 24 hours . . . we've got to squeeze every point we can out of these next three games. I see this race likely coming down to one or two points on the last weekend.

Of course it would be nice if the competition started to lose steadily, but don't bet on it.

And how good as Kinkaid been. We are sitting where we are mainly because of his unexpectedly raising the level of his play.

I remember when people complained Kink spent too much time on his tweets and not enough on his game.

Good times.

He had a very subpar stretch for much of the season up until about a month ago and consistently was letting in some bad goals and in bad spots in games. From November through about a month ago he was averaging allowing 3 goals per game along with having an 89 save %. It's not like the offense or defense in front of him has changed much either.

He's been big when we've needed key play from a goaltender down this stretch here lately, but let's not allow that to make us forget that he was a burden previously.

Well yeah if they miss it won't be by much. They won't be worse than the #9 seed at this point.

Let's see what Florida does tonight against the B's. I think that will be a good indicator of their playoff chances the rest of the way.
