Bezos may still be in the picture to purchase Commanders.
Sale of this magnitude will take time. First set is to pick an offer. There is no deadline for the sale. Not like the Broncos auction. Up to Synder to accept which offer he wants.

Hopefully whoever the winning bidder is, that they are in good standing to work with city to rebuild a stadium on the old RFK site.

Hard to come up with a unique name due to trademarks. Vegas had to add Golden. Seattle went with Kraken. Expos became The Nationals.

Not really. Golden was because the owner of Vegas wanted to name his team after Army but Black Knights was too on the nose of an homage (and London refuted claims that they had a block on the very generic Knights moniker), Kraken was a fan-driven meme push that could've been easily trademarked by someone else in advance, and Nationals was an established name in Washington thay predated the Senators (which local government opposed being used due to their lack of federal representation).

It's honestly not that hard to come up with a unique name so long as you don't telegraph what you want to do or are considering before filing trademarks of your own.

I don't get the sense Washington is going after anything too unique like Kraken. Probably not the legacy type franchise to go with something without an "s" at the end like Armada, Fleet, Fire, etc. that we have seen from USFL, XFL, MLS, minor league franchises in other sports.

I think Vegas wanted just Knights, but London OHL team had that IIRC.

London basically said that they were never even asked about it in advance by Vegas.

Plus, a team in a different league on a different level of play in a different country doesn't really have much of a say in what an NHL team in Las Vegas does with something as generic as the Knights, which is basically as default of a name imaginable. They're the Golden Knights because that's what the owner wanted them to be called.

Sixers x Commanders x Devils x Crystal Palace cross over is gonna be wild. Doesn’t he also have a share in an MLB team?

As surprising at it may be, he doesn't have a stake in any MLB teams.

Fortunately for him NFL ownership are a lot less strict than they were previously. With the old rules HBSE owning teams in other markets would've prevented them from buying the Commanders.

The new owners should change the team colors to red, navy blue, and white, the same colors as the American flag and the other big 4 teams in DC.
No. the team has a distinct color scheme with a lot of history. The red, white & blue scheme is way overplayed in American sports as it is, let alone in DC.

Still think Redtails would've been a great name, honoring the Tuskegee Airmen.

Should've been Red(something), at least.
