Agreed. Johnnson has a great motor first off. Top 5 shot on the team, can make plays, explosive skater. Johnnson could replace Marleau's production imo. Marleau's contract is horrible.

Matthew will be the sleeper, as he will score 60 goals and get over 40 assists and be a 100pts player while killing penalties too. He will win the Hart, Art Ross, Selke, Rocket and Conn Symthe.

Connor Carrick for me if he gets a chance to play. Team had a .723 point percentage (119 point pace) when he was in the lineup vs Polak, moves the puck well, his Corsi was ridiculously good with Rielly (I believe they had an over 80% game as the top pair) and Dermott. Ideally he plays well enough to bump old man Hainsey down the 3rd pair and a PK role. I want a right side of Zaitsev (see if he bounces back), Carrick, Holl

Johnsson, I can see him replacing a Marleau on the Matthews-Nylander line by the second half of the season.

Think we will also see good seasons from the 5-7 D men, whomever get will be (Carrick, Marincin, Holl, Rosen, ect).

I would go with one of the Swedish dmen, Rosen/Borgman. Outside chance for Leivo if he can actually make the starting lineup.

Would not be surprised to see Rosen make the team. An amazing skater who looked very good in pre season last year, as well as the Marlies play off run. Could very well play in the bottom pairing.

Yeah, I could see that, and thus he could end up on one of the top 2 lines. Personally, I could see a fit with Matthews.
