Skillswise, Who's The Worst NHL That You Have Ever Seen

I found this topic interesting, so I did some quick looking and here's a list of the lowest points per game rate for players with 200 games in the NHL post-expansion.

I tried to exclude goons, by only counting players if they were below an arbitrary cutoff of 10 fights per 82 game season.

But for the forwards, I would include fighters if they did have some other useful skill like playing on the PK.

This qualifier wouldn't work for defenceman since it's nearly impossible to stick in the NHL without having the ability to take a regular non-intimidation shift or penalty killing occasionally and I wanted to avoid the Ciccones and Lerouxs for the list.

LaCouture played for us 2000-2003.
Bylsma is our coach :)
Wyatt Smith is with our AHL affiliate.

I bolded Betts because he scored last night, oddly enough.

Francois Leroux

Francois Leroux

and...Francois Leroux

absolutely the worst...ever... skated like a 5yr old, had zero offensive skills, everyone and their dog skated by him on defense... all he was ever good for was losing fight and ending hall of fame careers...

simply put, a walking, skating advertisement for the birth control:shakehead

Saw him skate for the Wheeling Nailers at the end of his career. If you thought he was slow during his NHL days, then watching a 38 yr old Leroux "skate" in the ECHL was a even tougher task.

Think somebody told me he's still living in the Pittsburgh area.

Mitch Fritz, the ogre can barely skate lol but he exceeds in areas where skill is not needed, sort of lol

Steve Webb is a candidate IMO. 5 goals in 321 NHL games. And he wasn't really an enforcer.

However, it's hard to beat out Joel Rechlicz. Even guys like Worrell and Webb managed to get points in Junior.

Gino Odjick may not be the worst but I've never seen anyone else look so unnatural with the puck on his stick. It was almost like he was a right handed shot playing with a lefthanded goalie stick.
