Well done to @Dichow Stopper for getting Sidney Crosby for nothing.

We literally had one trade partner we could realistically work with, and we dealt with it from a real world scenario of trying to put him in his preferred landing spot and embracing the rebuild.

We made a deal we thought made sense for us; we're getting a blue-chipper in Guhle, as well as two 1sts, and a 2nd.

People said the same garbage about the Sens in the Karlsson deal. Worked out pretty well in the end, no?

We are really happy to bring in Braydon Coburn!

His work ethic in and off the ice as well as his experience will be a great addition for the organization. He will be paired with the young Henri on our 3rd pair to mentor him for at least the rest of year.

This trade also creates more than 2,000,000 in cap space for tge reminder of the year and near 4,000,000 next year.

I'd rather make no deal and keep Crosby than a weak deal just for the sake of making a trade.

I don’t see Crosby being moved this year IRL but if he is, let’s say next year, my guess is that the return will not be much better than that.

Time will tell...

Gaudreau, Monohan, Giordano, Hanifin, Bennett and Rittich out. We suck.

Added some nice pieces in Necas, Texier, McLeod, Dunn and Fleury for now and the future. Lots of picks and prospects too so happy with the rebuild.

The real cup faves. Added Horvat to give us amazing C depth. Pearson adds another top-9 winger to give us 3 great scoring lines.

Defense is young but stacked and Grubauer is hot this season. Watch out.

We created some cap space by trading Collin Miller for Braydon Coburn.
We have a few UFA this upcoming offseason, so we plan on being very active to upgrade our roster through the UFA market with our cap and roster space.
Being outside looking in a playoff appearance, we deceided to keep our young core and to give more minutes to our younger players in Dahlin, Cozens, Jokiharju, Thompson and Mittelstadt.
We tried to trade for young players to grow around with our but weren't willing to sacrifice too much of our future for it once again.
We also beleive some of our young prospects in Luukkonen, Quinn, Samuelsson, Laaksonen, Asplund can battle for a roster spot as soon as next year.
