At least Sekera was being honest, I find it refreshing actually rather than giving a generic answer. Hall seems to be opening up the communication a bit on the ice but he's more of a "lead by example" type of guy.

To be honest, there aren't as many vocal leaders as there used to be. Lots of "quiet leaders". Usually the grinders are the more vocal guys.

Lander was a vocal leader, but one would assume that it is somewhat difficult to keep up seeing his massive struggles this season. I have seen him talking/discussing with others on the bench, but much less this year than last when he also seemed to be talking much more on-ice.

I still struggle to understand what has happened to him. Slump in points and scoring is one thing, but it is really the overall play, aggressiveness and consistency that has been off. Such a disappointment.
