Talbot and Hall were the best players tonight. Kudos to Hall of not being selfish for a hat trick and giving the puck to Purcell to secure the game winning goal.

Oilers could have had like 6. Yakupov alone got robbed 3 times, Kassian twice (once by Montoya and once by Pakarinen). Montoya pulled a Dubnyk and stood on his head after letting in a muffin.

Can't do anything easy.

The Oilers had so many chances to put it away in the 3rd before Purcell got that pseudo empty netter. Two breakaways, a 2 on 1, and a 3 on 1? Someone needed to buckle down on one of those chances.

But a win is a win. **** the Panthers. Hope that team collapses and misses the playoffs. That 12 game win streak of theirs was a mirage.

Hopefully Nuge and Yak are alright. Yakupov seemed okay, but than was replaced by Pak the last few shifts. Maybe just for a slightly stronger defensive presence. Hopefully he didn't tweak that ankle.

We're a handful of games away from McDavid coming back. Can't this freaking team ice a full line up ONCE?

That should shut up the Hall haters and the burgeoning 'We overpaid Talbot!' Crew for awhile.

That snow angel save on the wrap around. Wow.

Coasted on Talbot's back from a 3-0 lead, iced it when they could. Happy to have the points in regulation.

Hope Nuge isn't long-term.

Oh what a game what a lovely game.

This was the road-trip to give away OT points on, but yet here we are taking it in regulation. Typical...

Honestly, Sekera had a period to forget but overall I thought the team defended the lead quite well.

Thought they played better as a whole in the third than in the first 2 periods as silly as that seems.

Talbot extension looking good after 1 game. :naughty:

And nobody goes to Florida games anymore so they move the team to Thunder Bay.

Sekera with a game to forget, just horrendous. Davidson was fantastic, easily the best Oilers Dman next to Klefbom at breaking up the cycle.
The Yakassian line was great.

I thought they did a good job protecting the 1 goal lead until that one scramble where Talbot came up huge.

Fully expecting to hear news tomorrow that Nuge has a broken hand

Talbot OP.

Okay so, I noticed some insane opportunities where the Oilers didn't score.
Normally a good sign in a win that it could have been a few more goals, but they barely held on.

That being said, they did hang on. So awesome.

Kassian looks decent. Has a bit of awareness on the rush. More than I expected for a guy who couldn't do TOO much with the Sedins. Oh well.
Now can we please, please win again soon? Another nice streak. But Tampa, Dallas and Nashville won't be easy games.

Glad to see Teddy score. Empty net and it still wasn't an easy one. Nice to see Hall get some points again. Top line starting to get back into form.

Yakupov didn't play the final 7:14. The bench looked like it was missing two players towards the end there...
