Coreau has been looking real good. Love how calm he is in the net compared to Petr.

The thing that is going to be excruciating is that Vanek has put himself in a prime position to generate a nice return for the Wings, only Holland will hold onto him and either lose him for nothing in free agency or sign him to an absurd contract extension. Green also has really good value right now, but he'll go nowhere.

Good win for Coreau. The Wings didn't give up much but he did what he needed to do and stopped the few decent chances he faced.

with how bad the atlantic is, i don't think there's any chance holland will completely sell at the deadline. And if the wings start getting average goaltending again, they will once again be on the playoff bubble

What's going to send people here rocketing off into a howling fury is when Kenny not only doesn't sell, but he packages a 1 and Dom Turgeon or some other prospect for Wideman.

Price is real great.
I mean he almost saved that goal. It is unbelievable how he tracked the puck. There was traffic, the puck was going wide, yet he had his hand ready to catch the puck. Un-the****ing-believable.

Howard's the number one this year lol

I don't expect mrazek to be good till next year and if he's not. Need a new starter. No way is coreau going to be one. Maybe a starter for a short time if the real ones injured

Gee, wonder why people would do that? Maybe because it's ****ing stupid or something and we've never needed to hit on a 1st round pick more than now.

People are going to get grazy here.
Holland trades picks to keep the streak going, while they were dreaming of piling up the picks and prospects.
It will be riots.

Man, good for Coreau.

Really nice to see back to back wins. This team needed something positive.

Solid effort. Team has really been looking much better lately.

Imo he doesn't look very good at all. The prototypical low-skill, but big and solid technique goalie. Right now he's a better option than Mrazek but that isn't saying much. A lot of the time Coreau doesn't even seem to know he's stopping pucks, they just happen to hit him because he's big. But at least he's giving the team a chance.

No. Number one is Coreau. He has the wings only 5 wins lately, 2 with SOs which one of them beating head to head the best goalie in the world and looking confident by doing so, one win against the SC champs.
Coreau beat the teams we really struggled to beat. So no, he is nr 1 not Howard.

I disagree. There were 2-3 shots were he swallowed the puck and no rebound. Those were real tough saves. And beating Price is huge, specially in a low scoring game like this with 35 shots combined. Howard gets great numbers but always finds a way to lose. Coreau wins. Howard and Mrazek have to wait their chance now.

Nope. It is Coreau until he fails.

Howard finds a way to lose? How about the team should have found a way to score some goals when Howard was healthy? With a healthy Howard this team could have been on a 10-game winning streak right now, it's great that Coreau has at least given us a couple of Ws but he's also allowed 3 or more goals in 5 of his 8 starts. He has 2 shutouts both of which were big team efforts rather than any kind of stolen game.

He's a bandaid, nothing more.
