No They are not. Disagree. The alternatives are worse.

Might take a sweetener but I agree. He can go without a buyout. No more buyouts. Just trade him. There is a market.
Maybe Philly? Chuck Fletcher has made some head scratching moves. The problem with the idea of trading Kassian is you ave to find a GM who is dumber than Holland and that's just not possible.
Flutch Chucker is a complete Moron. He'd probably throw in 2x 1sts to get KassMaybe Philly? Chuck Fletcher has made some head scratching moves.

Considering he traded a 1st for Rasmus Risto we could probably get Sanheim from them straight up for Kass.Maybe Philly? Chuck Fletcher has made some head scratching moves.
Of the two Kass at least bangs, occasionally fights. A season in and playoffs, and I'm still not sure what Foegele does. He's somebody that will forecheck hard 2-3 shifts in a game, get some kind of chance, muff it, and you never see him again except running around in his own end. Foegele GA considering he gets the easiest opposition its possible to give him in the NHL is pathetic.Ideally kass goes but if not trade Foegele. One of them has to go for cap.

Do they make Foegele suck less? Both need to GTFO and we need to better allocate their open cap hits.Have you seen Kassian's numbers?
At 5 on 5Have you seen Kassian's numbers?
You say that but the Islanders traded a #1/2D for the price that a 3rd line centre usually costs. There's plenty of dumb GMs in the NHL.The problem with the idea of trading Kassian is you ave to find a GM who is dumber than Holland and that's just not possible.
Its the price you have to payFlutch Chucker is a complete Moron. He'd probably throw in 2x 1sts to get Kass
This is the right way to proceed . I like to add we could retain as much as the buyout would cost us and be done with his contract in 2 years rather than 4 .We should be trading an asset for someone to eat the contract, but if forced into only the options of keep or buy-out, I would buy him out.
We need the cap space really badly and we are in a window where we should be striving to be competitive as possible (within reason).
