Sidney Crosby,

He's done it all. He's won Lord Stanley, Art Ross', the Conn Smythe, Gold Medal.
He's a first ballot lock for the HOF. He has nothing to prove to anyone and he's made more money than he knows what to do with.

What is the value of his health? He needs to take a long hard look on the next 50 years of his life. Does he want to live a life with pain and darkness? I think Crosby should retire and maintain what health he has left.

Love,

Arturs Irbe (not the real one)

I'll say this, he's looked notably off in this particular game. Beyond that observation, ultimately no one but Sid, and maybe his doctor, can say.

Concussions and severe injuries are no joke. Hockey isn't life. He doesn't owe anyone a darn thing. He should look out for his own well being.

Clearly this should be closed if you aren't a doctor, right? Opinions aren't allowed around here.

Tbh, IDK. He doesn't have anything else to prove, but if he retires now he isn't top 10 all time.

So then why only show concern for Crosby when many other active players have sustained as many or more concussions than Crosby? Should Toews and Bergeron retire too?

He wouldnt be playing if he was concussed..

Sidney isnt stupid, he knows better than playing with a concussion. And the Pens wouldnt let him, they won a game without him.

How many concussions has Toews had? Has he missed almost 2 full seasons?

Don't need to be a doctor to be concerned about that medical history.

If Sidney Crosby wants to continue playing hockey despite his medical history he's going to keep playing hockey. Pretty simple.

One of those wasn't a concussion. You'd think this would be common knowledge at this point.

People often do things they maybe shouldn't

And it's their decision to make so long as he's medically cleared. Crosby has medical personnel breathing down his neck I'm sure. Guaranteed that he's had the discussion and has been made aware of the risks. He's not living under a rock.

Doesn't make it any better that he tried to play though a concussion for a good portion of 2012. And Bergeron's concussion problems are well documented.

Time for them to hang 'em up.

Yay, look at all of the fake concern people have for Crosby here. I bet he'll consider your opinion.

Fake concern? Check yourself.

Better yet, do you have no concern for Sidney Crosby's health? He saved your franchise, I would expect you to show a bit of love for that.

If hockey weren't such a lucrative play, I'm sure they actually would.

exactly, but its a conversation worth having. Guess we'll just have to close it up, there's a few overly sensitive people out there getting mad. (not you)
