So far all of the correct people have won their various trophies, Igor the Vezina, Makar the Norris, Seider the Rookie of the Year, Matthews the MVP. 🤙🏻
Igor should have won the Hart.

I'm tired of this silly "goalies can't win the Hart and nominating them is the true reward for them" rule. It's old hat. The fact is the Rangers are a garbage team without Igor that finishes in the bottom 10. With him they get 110 points and come within 6 games of winning the Cup.

I suggest you look at Georgiev's record and the Islanders record.

Jeff Marek voted for Igor to win the Hart. He explained his reasons towards the end of the newest 31 Thoughts Podcast for those who might be interested. Basically he said even without a huge amount of games played Shesterkin's value resulted in adding almost 20 standings points to the Rangers with his play which is something you can't say about any other player. While the Rangers got better post trade deadline there were a lot of early wins banked solely from Shesterkin's play. Said we haven't seen a goalie carry a team like Shesterkin did since... wait for it... Henrik Lundqvist.

Igor had the best goalie season in the NHL since Tim Thomas in 10-11, it was likely even better. Scoring was ridiculously high this year and goaltenders around the league got eviscerated. 10-11 was in the middle of DPE 2.0.

Can't believe 3 f***heads had the nerve to vote other goalies, so stupid.

Fox and Shesterkin are the first Rangers to win major awards in back to back years since Buddy O'Connor won the Hart in 1948, Pentti Lund won the Calder in 1949, and Chuck Raynor won the Hart in 1950.

It was really brave of him to speak English on TV last night. He usually doesn't.

He did great and I'm proud of him.

this was really impressive from him...could tell he really made a point to do so all night. even before the awards he did a bit with emily kaplan and you could tell hed made it a point to do the night in english on his own which should be recognized. its a scary thing to step up in front of rooms full of people you dont know with cameras and mics and speak in a language youre not entirely comfortable with.

still cant believe his using the translator was called out by people as him not caring or bothering at all with english. gonna guess most of them could step in front of the press and cameras and answer coherently in english nevermind another language in a different country.
