I'm cautiously aboard the Chekhovich hype train as I do think he's next in the line of sneaky good prospects drafted by the Sharks. He should be dominant in the Q much as we are seeing so that isnt too surprising. I'm more excited to see how he will do in WJCs given he makes the Russian team. If he does well there then the hype will get real.

That's a pretty weak call. Didn't even look like a penalty to me. Woo skated into Gregor and he just pushed off of him.

If he was an average skater (by NHL standards) I would say he was a lock to make the NHL. Atleast as a 3rd pairing D-man. But with his speed issues, I am not sure what to make of his future.

I know Bibeau is older but he has even better numbers than Korenar this year.

All in all, goalie drafting and development may actually be a strength of the Sharks again. It's been a long time.
