I could see the two coming to a deal if the Hawks were willing to take on Zaitsev. As much as Jones has declined he’s still a definite upgrade and they have 4.5mil in cap space not including his cap hit. That said, is he better than Zaitsev and another 4.5mil player? That’s debatable depending on how they spend that cap.

He’s at least a top 2 D. Is it better to be heavy upfront with a top 2 D or zaitsev and another top 4/6 or middle/bottom six player
