Somewhere between 7.5-8.5What does Seth Jones go for on the open market if hes a UFA this year? 7.5-8?
A team would overpay, for sure. What does Seth Jones go for on the open market if hes a UFA this year? 7.5-8?
More discussion worthy than the endless JT Miller and horvat threadsNot to be a wet blanket, but if Friedman even says the discussions went nowhere and it's not going to happen, then is this even discussion-worthy?
Was called on by Ottawa. Discussions didn’t go anywhere as expected.

What is a realistic scenario for the Hawks to move jones?
Any type of jones trade if it were to ever happen is a offseason type of move. My guess it’s just gms calling each other to say high.

NiceI heard that Pierre said hi, but Kyle outright rejected the hi, with BYE! Rumour has it, there won't be any hi or bye in the near future.
My guess they asked the Hawks to keep 50%How the hell do the Sens plan on fitting Jones under the cap?
Jones very likely isn't going to waive to anywhere in Canada so there is no realistic scenario
I thought he let it be known when a bluejacket that if he was traded to Canadian team he wouldn’t re-sign with them.Jones very likely isn't going to waive to anywhere in Canada so there is no realistic scenario
I am guessing that the reason discussions didn't go anywhere is because the teams couldn't agree on retention and are probably pretty far apart on that front. How the hell do the Sens plan on fitting Jones under the cap?
No thank you on that oneSeth Jones was really, really good under Tortorella.
The Hawks are trying hard to tank and Ristolainen would be an ideal guy for that.
I don't care enough about the Flyers and Hawks to fill in the details on what other pieces would make it work but a deal including these two guys seems both like a spectacularly bad yet intriguing idea.

nothing hes still good. Its a weird narrative created because people didnt like the contract he signed and the trade bowman made. It doesnt change the player he is. I believe most GMs could recognize this.I dont watch Chicago. I watched Jones at CBus often, and he was mostly very good.
What happened? Not like he is old or had horrible injuries (?), right?

I can guarantee no team is looking to acquire the worst contract in the league
Yup when he was dealt from Columbus to Chicago, He said he has no desire to play in Canada and said the exact same thing about Philly as well.Jones very likely isn't going to waive to anywhere in Canada so there is no realistic scenario
