The game that Shatty came back was the game that Steen went down inn, and if I'm not mistaken they got a total of 1 PP shift together in that game before Steen was injured.

I wasn't sure if they did or didn't in that game. I thought it was just before the first PP that Steen got injured.

Blues in 5. Wouldn't be surprised to see a sweep.

This team has another gear. We're about to see it.

We accomplished the only goal of this season: Staying Healthy.

The Wild aren't going to know what hit them. Dubnyk is about to get exposed. He'll be just another Blaine Lacher.

Man, what a name. I remember the epic season long battle for the Calder between Lacher and Carey.

Blues in 5. And Its going to be embarrassing. I dont think its going to be as close as a lot seem to think.

After the year of negativity throughout many of the GDTs around here it is nice to see the optimism radiating out of the posts in this thread :yo:

I am very happy to be the only one thinking the Wild take this series. Hoping you are all correct.

What I like about this Blues' team is that we can definitely go on the road and win in Minnesota. This has been a good road team. At times we have looked worse at home than we have on the road. We seem to always come out and play well on the road. At times we come out poorly in the first at home.

I just have a feeling that the Blues are going to go Full Beast Mode this year.

They are healthy, deep, driven and talented. I just see them as being on a mission more so than anyone else. Game 83 has been the focus all season. Plus they do not have to play the Hawks or Kings in the first round.

I voted 6 games but it would not surprise me if it ended sooner. I just have a feeling that this entire series will seem like the ice is tilted towards the Wild's end as the Blues unleash the fury.

I've said it before, but my wife is not a hockey fan. She sits on the couch and reads her Kindle while I watch games. She asks about things occasionally and knows the players. She's told me that the Blues seem different this year. "When they get behind, its still seems like they're going to win or that they can come back."

So there's that.

I think they've shown some metal here to close out the season, and with everyone available I like their chances to close this out in 5.

Didn't see a "Dubnyk in 3" so I'm afraid I can't in reasonable conscience cast a vote here.
Who're the Wild BTW? I thought the Blues had to play the Dubnyks?

Considering the Blues playoff history you guys are WAY too overconfident. ALL 3 experts on the NHL network including ex-Blue Jamie McClennan picked the Wild. The Wild have the best record in the entire NHL since the All Star break. The Wild also outplayed the Blues in 2 of the 3 games this year when both teams had a full lineup & the Wild have a winning record against the Blues.

It makes no sense why you think the Blues will breeze through this.

Well...if NHL Network said it

I guess you're counting games we were missing Shattenkirk(you know, the second best dman in the series behind Petro) as a full lineup? Even without Shatty, we absolutely dominated March 14th. The Blues are a vastly superior team and will show that.

To expand, they outplayed us March 21st. That's literally the only game in the last three seasons the Wild outplayed the Blues. That game was also played without Shattenkirk. If they want to hang their hat on that.....

Waiting patiently for...but...but...Dubnyk.

Would you believe I was at Dubnyk's 2nd career NHL start in Edmonton against the Blues. A buddy and I saw the Blues during their 3 game trek through Western Canada that year. He gave up 7 goals on 26 shots. Brad Winchester and Darryl Sydor each record points. The legend of Dubnyk began...

I've never put too much stock in what the NHL Network says. Even if they all picked the Blues to win I still wouldn't care.

Anyway, yes the Wild were hot since the All-Star break but once the playoffs start it's a whole new season. I'm honestly not concerned about this series and if we do lose it for some reason then some on ice personal changes are in order.

I have this feeling about Patrick Berglund. He's going to have a surprisingly good postseason. You heard it here first (unless of course you didn't at which point you still heard it here)

I have been thinking this exact same thing:handclap: And I have been calling for a Berglund trade for a couple of years. He just seems to be playing differently this past month.

Why should I consider their playoff history when it is the current playoffs I care about. Remind me never to go to the casino with you...

Even on March 21st the only reason they won was the series of complete fluke goals that bounced off our own guys.

I'm really looking forward to Chris Stewart doing his disappearing act in tight checking games against a quality opponent.
