I do hate them though. I've lived all over the country and gone to Blues games in about a dozen different arenas outside St. Louis, and Dallas is the only place that home fans have physically attacked me and dumped beer on me.

I always try to remind people that every fan base has some awful people and give the majority the benefit of the doubt. I got spit on at the Pepsi Center during last year's regular season finale, but every other Avs fan I've sat with over the last 5+ years have been great. There's always going to be some amount of drunk, stupid, immature home fans.

I concur. It happens everywhere at varying levels of the game.

I've seen some pretty distasteful things from the home crowd at both the WHL and BCHL games in my home town.

From intentional popcorn/pop dumping on visiting fans, to some pretty vicious verbal harassment directed at junior aged players.

great news. the clueless nbc female announcer is doing NHLs nightly recap show and predicted the stars to win G7.

Congrats to the Blues on their upcoming win!

I hope it is more like the Stars game 7 and not like the Blackhawks game 7 that probably took years off my life. But I'll take either over an exit.

Today is game 7, my wife's birthday. I work until 6pm, game is at 7pm. It's the only day we actually get at the regular time instead of 8:45pm puck drop. I'll take her out to eat at a place with the game the tv over her shoulder?

LGB!

I also just noticed (while trying to catch a glimpse of Ben's face from the video in the GDT) that Heiskanen swiftly and blatantly steps aside the Parayko blast as he sees him wind up, and then Benn screens Ben at the exact moment the puck is fired while Steen lures him to the front of the net from the other side.

Yeah!

Vancouver fans torching their own city was pretty disgusting

Most Vancouver fans are nowhere near the vitriol spewing that our favourite poster with the backwards name demonstrates. This boils back to the bad apple in the bunch Brian39 was alluding to earlier.

A good portion of the friends I grew up (raised in BC, with it's 1 NHL team) with are vocal Vancouver fans and its fun to talk hockey with them. Of course they put their prospects on a pedestal, but were we any different talking about Kyrou and Thomas this summer?

Perspective is important.

Agreed. There are many knowledgeable and respectful Canuck fans on HF. In regards to the 2011 riot, apparently many, if not most, of the participants were not even real hockey fans. They were mostly disgruntled "anarchists" who were waiting for a reason to riot. It was sad and disgusting nonetheless.

Backwards name guy is the extreme outlier. All other interactions with Canuck fans on here have been normal.
