But the general consensus (on my internet at least ) is either those artists suck (Biebers, Minaj, boybands, Post-AJFA Metallica) or are good but aren't praised on a widespread enough level to qualify as overrated. Plus, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry are kind of awesome (minus the latter's newest album.)

I have yet to see an artist praised and defended more vehemently online than Grohl/Nirvana despite that the only notable thing about either is how puzzling their popularity is. There was a point where I would have given that title to Avenged Sevenfold but then everyone seemed to come to the sudden realization that they suck.
