He can play both and was moved to the wing in the past to allow for others to play center. However, since we traded Brassard and JGP out for most of the season I figured he was a lock to be our 2C.

I dunno, Preds have ample cap space and obviously Zack Smith has to be better than Miika Salomaki or Zac Rinaldo or whoever lands the last F spots with Austin Watson suspended. But projecting out 2 more years is the real question. If he had 1 year left, I'd take him. With 3 years... not so much.
