Ottawa shut out 4 out of 11 games in December.

It’s just not working.
Its kinda sad too because they probably could have salvaged the season if they just canned Boucher a couple weeks ago but as it is now, we're firmly cemented to be a non playoff team.

Fire Boucher if that's what it takes to get young players ice time but its sad to see such a stubborn mentality completely submarine an organization.

Condon suggests there may be more they can do off the ice(weight room etc). On ice effort is there but says maybe some extra can be done off the ice to win/earn their breaks.
May just be looking for answers to the problems and thinking that MAY be one. But sounds like he thinks there is room for improvement there. Not sure if he is calling anyone out.

He used to train MMA as Pageau does
Not sure if he still practice it but it is good training
Bjj is about not panicking when pushed to the limit
Could be of use in that dressing room for sure

I love Chlapik.

Much less Chloppy player than Burrows or Pyatt.

I'd like him up for an extended look. Alas, very bad odds of that happening.

It's funny. McLean was all offense, with Benny Hill show inspired dzone coverage. Boucher tightened up our dzone play, but our offense has evaporated. It feels almost as bad as when Hartsburg was the coach.

We seem to flip flop between all out offense, and all out defense. Martin was all about the D first, and then counterattack, then Murray comes in preaching win through offense. A short stint with Paddock, and we flip the script with Hartsburg brought in to clean up our D game, but at the expense of any offense. Clouston takes over (he was probably our most well rounded coach, to bad he had no people skills). McLean comes in all out offense, then after a short stint of Cameron, we get Boucher in D only.

I thought Boucher was supposed to be a PP specialist, that's my biggest disappointment. It's too bad.

This is dumbfounding.
If anything, we draw the following conclusions:
1) Karlsson is the most valuable player in the world. When he's on, he can carry a team like no other. Now that he isn't 100% and is a mere mortal, we are seeing the team for what it is.
2) Duchene is a figure skater, not a hockey player

Dorion, please do something. Fans hope, GMs act.

I get that they were missing key pieces tonight, but there should be enough speed and skill to at least be dangerous.

I don't know what to think about this team anymore. They need to go on a miracle run to mKe the playoffs, and if they're bad enough to get a lottery pick, karlsson is probably jaded enough to walk, and the team doesn't have their first round next season.

Just frusterating as f***.

Couldn't even be bothered to watch the game after getting home from a hellish shift at work. Skipped through and I'm guessing it wasn't that good - though I saw that they put up a lot of shots in the third.
