That seems to be the excuse, but since Reeds n bcame ill the defensive coach and now Smith a player with very little coaching experience.

And now Cameron....Team 1200 running in to provide cover-but this is making Maclean a scapegoat for management and ownership. Steve Lloyd is embarrassing.

We are back int he dumpster where we were tih Paddock/Hartsburg/Clouston.

Cameron will belong in this group

Honest question; had any organization in professional sports gone through as many coaches as the Sens have the past 8 years or so? It's insane and just a distraction from the real problems; a frugal incompetent owner who accepts no responsibility for his unwillingness to spend $$ and ice a competitive team.

This organization is in shambles until Melnyk is gone.

Edmonton.

No it has Murray written all over it.

Murray wanted to fire him at the end of last year and Melnyk came in and i
interviewed the players and nixed it..

The Murray thew him under the bus with the players and in the media. He has just been waiting for a losing streak.

A Cameron will be going in it seems-maybe Luke said no.

Murray hired him after a very careful process. Melnyk wanted Cameron.

My guess is Melnyk came into town for Alfie's retirement, asked Murray what the team's record was... and then told him he has to can Maclean and give Cameron a shot.

I'd like to think he wasn't fired because of one exchange with Karlsson, heh.

I don't understand this move at all...

IF karlsson has anything to do with this you sit him down and remind him hes a kid.... ut its already over with. probably didn't happen... I hate this team..

ok, he may be doing the hiring but i don't think the decisions are all him. there are a handful of guys making these decisions.

this last one could be different depending on who get hired full time i guess. so i'll wait and see.

Probably PM was gone once Murray steps down anyways. New GM's usually clean house.

I think our real problem starts with having non hockey guy making big choices in the organization as it is.

No team is perfect though.

This is Melnyk garbage again. Cameron is his guy from when he owned the Majors. I didn't like the move to hire him in the first place but to install him as head coach?

Melnyk is becoming/has become a Harold Ballard. A meddling idiot damaging his franchise.

An owner should hire the best possible manager. Then they should step aside and provide them with the resources to do the job. Melynk has done neither of these things. His finger prints have been all over some decisions and he gives Murray a paupers budget to compete with. Horrible.

I would disagree with firing the coach. I think MacLean is a very good coach. To me this problem with this team is lack of talent - and that is related to the owners lack of spending.

Nonetheless, firing the coach does happen. Installing a Melnyk boy? That's Eugene making a mess again.

I can't wait for this guy to be gone - from P.I's to look into the Karlsson accident, to Alfie's departure and the fracas about casino's, I have more than had my fill of Melynk.

Cameron is only interm until Alfie is finished his "year off with family"

Clearly one of the clauses in his "one day contract" was that he was coach for the 15/16 season ;)

If they believe this is a playoff team, then get ready for us to add an Ales Hemsky at the deadline again.
