To an extent, yes. It's his responsibility to make adjustments to lines and team strategy to spark the offense when it struggles. He has shown throughout his career he can't do that in the playoffs, even when he has the best overall roster in the NHL.

I don't hate Trotz. I really like the guy, even to a personal level. I met him last year during my first trip to Washington and I found out that he's a very humble and likeable guy.

He has his shortcomings as a coach, no one can deny that.
