Seattle Kraken for sure. The rest are lame.

Cougars is too generic.
Eagles is taken (Philadelphia).
Emeralds is lame.
Evergreen is a plant.
Firebirds is meh, Thunderbirds would be perfect, but a Vancouver university hockey team uses it.
Kraken is cheesy.
Rainers is too specific.
Renegades is very un-Seattle.
Sea Lions is kind of cool, but too similar to Seahawks.
Seals has been done.
Sockeyes is pretty cool, very unique, has original colour options.
Totems is sacred object for First Nations so I don't think it's appropriate.
Whales just doesn't feel right.

I've always found Kraken to be a dumb name for a Seattle based team. They aren't even on the right f***ing ocean...

i like sockeyes and emeralds the most, everything else is too much videogame. Emeralds at least is something that has connection to the city (nickname) and sounds good. It would allow for a logo that resembles the city, and a green color scheme

Totems is the best option. Lots of history in Seattle.

They were a minor league team from 1944-1975. Also have a great logo:

The greatest minor league scorer of all time, Guyle Fielder, played for the Seattle Totems.

He has a stat line of 438-1491-1929 in 1487 games played. He is the 4th highest-scoring professional hockey player of all time, behind only Gretzky, Jagr, and Howe.

The Totems were supposed to become an NHL team but the ownership group failed to make it happen.

Doubtful the NHL will allow a name like Totems. There would need to be a LOT of background work done to ensure all First Nation concerns are addressed.

I voted Kracken. Not too fond of most of the other names. Surprised Metropolitans is not an option.

Kraken isn't bad as it's a fishing town but I like the idea of having the name something to do with the color green so Emeralds and Evergreen are my top-2. I guess every big sport team from Seattle has to have green color in the jersey since Supersonics used to have that color and Seahawks kinda have it too right?

I think they should explore outside the 13 options and pick something else though.
