D Sedin - H sedin - Burrows
Booth - Kesler - Hansen
Higgins - Santorelli - Richardson
Sestito - Dalpe - Weise
Kassian (suspended)

Garrison - Tanev
Hamhuis - Bieksa
Edler - Weber

Heathy scratch
Alberts - Stanton

This is my stab at game 1 roster. I think Stanton draws in to game 2 as he can throw down against an Oiler team that has been making threats.

Man that third line is unacceptable.

We lose Mason Raymond and the lineup is way worse than before... ?

Yeah, a lot of bridge jumping going on in Canuckland.

The Canucks could easily miss the playoffs, but if that happens it'll be because some of their core players underperform not because they have Santorelli or Dalpe replacing Lapierre and Ebbett. Do people seriously not remember the lineup the team was icing with Kesler and Booth out last year? Here are a couple of forward lineups from Feb. and March respectively each at the end of a 6 game winning streak (lines ordered by TOI):

Sedin-Sedin-Burrows
Higgins-Lapierre-Kassian
Raymond-Schroeder-Hansen
Weise-Ebbett-Volpatti

Sedin-Sedin-Burrows
Higgins-Ebbett-Pinizzotto
Raymond-Schroeder-Hansen
Gordon-Lapierre-Sestito

 Lu's always good to turn a depressing moment after I saw what our opening day lineup could look like into a moment where I can laugh.

It's more a case of how did that stay out with October Luongo

Wonder who starts on D in this one? Tortorella seemed lukewarm to Weber during the preseason, Alberts was awful...wonder if Stanton gets a look?

Apparently our 2nd PP unit's job is just to prevent SHGs against. :help:

New Nux C Zac Dalpe skating on 4th line in practice with Sestito-Weise. New Dman Ryan Stanton paired with Chris Tanev. #canucks

Brad Ziemer‏@BradZiemer2m
Looks like Stanton could be No. 6 guy. He is skating with Tanev today. Alberts and Weber are skating as fourth pair. #Canucks

This is my stab at game 1 roster. I think Stanton draws in to game 2 as he can throw down against an Oiler team that has been making threats.

Dalpe would be better off centring Higgins. Santorelli is an energy centre who can score in shoot outs. I think he can carry the 4th line with Weise. Sestito is a non factor and likely to miss evey other shift and sit for the 3rd. So you'd have Higgins or Booth double shifting on the 4th.

I guess Dalpe start off on the fourth line and slowly move up
