What bugs me is this coaching staff doesn’t seem to entertain the thought of Wheeler playing against weaker competition.

I'm not concerned by what I'm seeing.

We need some more traffic in front of the net to get some sticks on some pucks, and we need to avoid that happening to us, especially on the PK. Other than that, Gibson has stolen the show. He has that ability.

I think PP1 time is fine as long as his even strength time is reduced. With Scheifele back he won't be taking telegraphed shots on the PP like this game.

And he messed up a ton of plays, gave a bad turnover, took two minor penalties leading to PP goals against. Ehlers hasn't been great, but other than one good pass Wheeler has been awful.

2 giant pp chances in the first where indecision caused him to rob himself of easy goals. Pretty invisible since
