Scuderi and Daley have almost the exact same cap hit.

Daley had more goals last season than Scuderi has in his entire career.

Apparently Pittsburgh is retaining salary on him.

Oh well, at least Scuderi isn't on the team.

Ah I see, so it's essentially crap d for crap d but Chicago frees up a million-ish a year.

Well, now I don't like it that we're retaining salary. We are paying more of a caphit on Delay now when Scuderi's cap hit is added to it.

Chicago adding "the piece", looking for another cup!

Honestly I'll take Daley at his cap hit plus 1/3 of Scuderi over Scuderi for free as long as Scuderi isn't on the ice...

I mean, I'd rather retain a mil than send a Pouliot or Sundqvist (or a couple 2nd's) out the door for a Daley type, because we all know that was the alternative.

Getting rid of Scuderi's entire cap hit was a pipe dream.. At least we were able to clearly upgrade the position in the process of ridding ourselves of Scuderi. 1/3 is a small price to pay.
