There were a few changes I would like to have seen earlier, I think Sbisa has a more offensive upside than Merrill, I would have made the change but I’m not sure it would have made any positive difference

Agreed. I see a lot of Blake Wheeler in Tuch's game. That blend of size and speed is a rare find.

I can see that stylistically. Tuch can be a better goal scorer.

I see shades of Rick Nash, frankly.

I think you’re right. A better move might have been to pick up a rental D at the trade deadline, but perhaps the cost was too high, what with picking up Tatar for pucks already. But then perhaps that d-man may have acclimated as poorly as Tatar did. Oh well. Here’s to the year-over-year development that’ll make us that much better next year.
