Pilut was better than Dahlin in the Swedish Hockey League last season - and Dahlin is the best defenceman in Buffalo this season.

Makes absolutely no sense having him in the AHL.

God I hate the politics of the NHL, keeping superior players out of the big team.

Buffalo winning and staying healthy obviously hurts his timeline this season. He’s the clear first callup but no one has gotten hurt (knock on wood) and if they aren’t in their usual spot (out of it by thanksgiving) they’re obviously more likely to keep pushing than get callups minutes.

But he’s putting on a hell of a resume to give Botterill options in the near future.
