Krueger's had him down on the fourth line basically all season; so unless he's going to magically make a shitton of points with Casey Middelstadt and Riley Sheahan as his linemates, Skinner's kinda f***ed.

1 point in 14 games as a 4th liner is still terrible production even for a 4th liner. That would be 6 points in an 82 game season which is horrible production for any player in the NHL no matter how they are used.

You don't get to tell me what I can or should post about, so shove that attitude right back up your backside.

Jeff Skinner has averaged over 13 minutes of ice time this season, that is not 4th line minutes. If he has played 14 games with an average ice time over 13 minutes and only has 1 point you can't say it is all on the coach, the player needs to produce.

Even if he was only playing 4th line minutes, 1 point in 14 games is terrible for any NHL player in any situation. Even if he is stuck on the 4th line that is a pace of 6 points in 82 games. 6 points in 82 games would be horrible for the worst 4th liners in the league. You can't just blame the coach, the player needs to do something on the ice.

I wish he was playing with Mitts, Mitts has really turned the corner this year (and also, coincidentally, is being seriously underutilized by Krueger). Skinner's linemates have mostly been Lazar and Sheahan.

Not arguing that point, but you do realize that goals are hard to get in the NHL, right? Fourth lines don't score very often and most of them aren't really known for taking chances to create offense.

Yea but he is on pace to finish a full season with 6 points. Even for a 4th liner 6 points in a season would be considered a bad season. And Skinner is actually averaging over 13 minutes a game so far this season, which is 3rd line ice time not 4th line. He should have more than 1 point regardless of how he has been used so far.

Lol. Carey Price is a quasi-Cap Dump & soon to be Full-On Cap Dump. You'd be lucky to get back Mantha @50% w/3.7 seasons left for a smurf in Caufield & a mid-lateish 1st in a draft that isn't all that great. Not to mention that there's little data (as of now w/o pushing the draft back 6 mos.) for GM's/scouts to go by. Carey is so Over-Priced...but don't worry, it's only 5.7 more seasons. Enjoy your old, aging, overpriced & overtermed "1G" w/eroding skills. Does Carey speak French? If not, he can pay for the French lessons.
