Zucker getting demoted and Simon staying up on L1 even though he has 1 measly assist in his last 5 games with Sid and Zucker is all you need to know about this team right now. This coaching staff is going to play favorites right up until the team is on the brink of a 1st round elimination. Then they'll change it up to maximize players strengths, but by then it will be too late.

The Zucker/McCann switch was actually a good move. The scoring chances were 8-1

Sully and company faced 2 paths when Marino went out with Sid coming back.
Give Riiko more responsibility to attempt to keep some ice tilt/shot generation/HD shot generation or stick with the good ol' Jack Johnson and whatever it is that MP is right now.
They made the wrong choice.
Didn't even really have to throw Riiko completely into the fire. Just get him out there every chance you'd use a Dumo or Marino offensively.
I dunno if it would've helped a TON but it absolutely had to be tried to keep some ice tilt.

Anywho:

1) Get Namestnikov and/or Gustafsson
2) Give Geno the best you've got atm. If Rust ain't goin', give him Tanev. He's THE star with a pulse right now.

Went to The Alchemist brewery with the family. Thankfully I forgot to record the game. What the hell was this BS?

just to be clear, I’m not rooting against Jarry, but more hoping that this performance will prevent the Murray GDTs from becoming an abortion of barely-coherent thoughts on why Murray’s wins/saves are less than Jarry’s.

now, I know that’s a fool’s hope, because instead, we’ll just get 500 reasons why Jarry didn’t actually lose today.
And yet, you were literally doing that all game long. There's a select few that flame Murray and Jarry after games like this, for both, you seem to only notice the ones for Murray and that's on you, but to constantly gripe about it and then contribute to that same stuff you're complaining about isn't the best way to go about this at all.

Both goalies were hung out to dry, both goalies had bad games because of horrible team play in front of them, both goalies are Pittsburgh Penguins players that are fantastic players.

There's nothing more to it than that, letting a select few get you that riled up is probably more the issue.

Can’t wait for people to start turning on Zucker as if his linemates were any better today. He legitimately looked better away from Sid and Simon.
Your wait was over in his first game man

Thats what they actually did, but Sully does not have stomach for his defensive mistakes

Well... tomorrow's game should be an entertaining one.

Two teams tied for first place and both teams are on pretty ugly streaks.
Which team will play less ugly.... tune in to find it!

Buffalo needed this game much more. They need to get a WC spot and have been hounded by the Western New York media all year.

They played with Urgency. Pens lacked the urgency but you can't force urgency.

It's just one meaningless game so Pens will do amazing next game. Sabres wanted it more and that's understandable.

Outside of the top contenders like us, Sabres are great team, a step above most of the East. On par with the Leefs. :sarcasm::)

He seems to have an easy time "stomaching" Schultz and Pettersson's mistakes though. The Schultz failure to tie his man up in front of the net was even more egregious than Riikola's mistake, because Riikola had to play aggressive to try and get back into the game. The game was still within reach when Schultz f***ed up.
