Spooner for Virtanen.
Gross. What else is Vancouver sending over?
Spooner for Virtanen.
Spooner for Virtanen.
Virtanen has been awful. Overating Virtanen and underating Spooner.
Actually, given the Bruins trade history, sounds about right.
So, I get that nobody is thrilled with the idea of claiming Spooner...but when you’re play Noel Accairi as your 3c...I mean, come on. That’s untenable.
Gotta consider it. Especially when DS is maintaining his 75% of the season whining that “you just can’t make a deal, right now.”
Didnt he fall off a cliff or three, just two days after arriving in NY?

No, he played well when he first got there, then about a dozen games in he disappeared and hasn’t been seen since. I liked Spooner and if I thought he could produce I’d be all for it, but it’s way too big of a risk and he can’t play center.Didnt he fall off a cliff or three, just two days after arriving in NY?
I assume. That’s a pretty big cliff if he’s gonna land on Acciari level. I assume he can still skate and make plays.

Ahh, thanks. Noel it is.
This has not aged well....
he was still damn good offensively a year ago today, hard to believe he would pass through waivers and some team like the Kings who are desperate for scoring wouldn't claim him
although its pretty common to see a guy clear waivers and then be traded a couple days later. I feel like the Bruins traded for someone who had just cleared waivers a few years ago
Great idea, Kings could put Spooner on a line with Kovalchuk. Opponents would always have too many men on the ice, jumping on to get to play against them.
