World Cup: Russia Banned From World Cup Qualifiers

Between the systemic doping and the invasion of Ukraine, I can't understand why anyone would be willing to give Russia or Russian athletes the benefit of the doubt anymore when it comes to any sort of international competition.

As far as I'm concerned, ban all Russian teams and athletes from international competitions until further notice. Tell 'em they can get back to us when the Putin regime has been replaced with one that isn't a fascist dictatorship propped up by kleptocratic oligarchs.

There's already talk in the Russian governmant of the "denazification" of the Baltic states and Moldova next. In case any dreamers would think Putin would stop at Ukraine.
