Seriously?

Oh yeah, it's addictive...I did it throughout the day, didn't realize how much it added up

I ran it today and got Ottawa, Columbus, Edmonton.

I ran it 10X in a row and got Leafs 2nd X 1 and 3rd X 1 only among those 10 runs.

We should start figuring out who we should take in the #4/5 hole.

Yup, for sure. I see us having a few options: take Chychrun in that spot, or trade down a few spots to 7 or 8 and take Dubois (hopefully he'd still be around).

First time I ran it today I ended up with:

1) Edmonton (threw up in my mouth a little)
2) Philadelphia
3) Calgary

Leafs didn't end up in the top 3 until the fifth time I ran it (second overall, still behind Edmonton). Leafs didn't end up 1st overall until the 14th time I ran it.

Don't think you can trade Pitt 1st until you actually get it.

When do the Leafs lose a second and third round pick for Babs and Lou...is that this years picks?

Run the Draft Simulator - http://nhllotterysimulator.com/

Be honest with the results. Tell us where you landed, make a pick.

Make some realistic off-season moves that fall in line with the clubs direction. Even if you can't necessarily fill in all the slots, try to make a couple of realistic moves. I do fully expect more then half of these lineups to have Stamkos in them.

No BS, I landed 1st overall with Toronto with my first try. Pretty exciting stuff (I was kind of hoping for more of a challenge though). With the 1st overall pick, the Leafs are proud to select, Mr.Matthews.

The Leafs sign Zaitsev

The Leafs sign Ramo to a 1 year contract

The Leafs sign Dominic Moore to a 1 year contract

The Leafs trade Kadri, Holland, Percy to New Jersey for Damon Severson and a 2nd round pick.

Next seasons line up -

JVR-Matthews-Michalek
Komarov-Nylander-Lupul
Leivo-Bozak-Marner
Winnik-Moore-Soshnikov
Greening

Hunwick-Rielly
Gardiner-Severson

I'm not sure how open Dallas is to trading Johns, especially if Goligoski/Demers walk, but I'd really love to pry him out of Dallas and would be willing to include as much as one of the SJS picks, or even a Bracco - with a little more from their end, to do it. I'd also like to say that Stamkos comes home and we sign a bunch of big name free agents, but I just don't see it as likely at this point, and see us keeping the forwards with a year left as veteran presence for the rookies. Then, as the year goes, depending on how the year goes, you have Hunwick, Bartkowski, Michalek, Greening and Laich as possible rentals, even Bernier if he improves his value enough.

I could also see something happening where some of our depth in the prospect pool is used to pickup an established D-man to join the top 4 instead of signing a guy like Bartkowski. There's just way too many prospects and not enough spots, I could even see a guy like Kapanen or Brown being part of a deal if it brought back a legit top 4 D-man under 26.
