Just like all those other deadlines where Holland swooped in at the last minute to make a splash, amirite?

Why you guys still support this dunce is a mystery.
And why it seems you think that trading garbage players is so easy boggles my mind. This isn’t EA sports where you can turn thee difficulty to easy and trade away scraps for superstars you know that right?

Who signed/acquired all those garbage players again?
I hope Holland makes a major move before or during TDL. There’s no excuses for him to use shit like dollar in dollar out if another team was able to make moves despite being in the similar cap crunch. Otherwise f*** off and let another GM do the job.

EDM: Erik Karlsson (6.67M cap hit) + Steven Lorentz (1.05M)
SJS: Tyson Barrie (4.5M) + Jesse Puljujarvi (3M) + Xavier Bourgault + 2025 1st round pick + mid round pick (San Jose retains 22% of Karlsson's contract)
ARZ: EDM 2023 1st round pick (Arizona retains 20% of Karlsson's contract)

I think this could be a reasonable price point for Karlsson. Arizona and San Jose taking on 2.3-2.5M for the next four seasons will surely cost at least a 1st round pick each.

In this deal, San Jose would save about 1.5 on the cap this season and big savings the next four seasons by getting out of the 11.5M on Karlsson. It's basically dollar in dollar out for us. Might require a Foegele move as well elsewhere.

I'm not sure this is a move worth making for us, but if we're talking about realistic cost I think this is close. The deal surely requires a third team involved or it's not happening.
