Good, smart game by Marlies. Best two players on Marlies, in my opinion, were Brown (2G) & Kapanen (1A), even before Brown scored the empty net goal.

Those 2, plus Sparks, should be the 3 stars.

There's Marlies fans in the crowd. I love them!

EDIT:

I guess I'm wrong. Brown and both goalies are the 3 star.

Marlies players are really buying in. Nobody trying to be a hero out there. If they just keep things tight, they have too much skill to lose.

Brown is such a consistent player.

Nice to see Sparks with a shutty, I was worried he might've lost his confidence after his NHL stint.

to be honest he had nothing to do. That was probably the easiest shut out of his career. The Marlies are so much better than Bridgeport it's not even funny, the depth difference between both teams is massive. I expect a clean and easy sweep.

Take it from Babcock, "(Brown) very high IQ and compete". That's what he provides every game. He is gonna be a beauty, I still laugh at people rating Kapanen over Brown. Brown is hands down our 3rd best forward prospect, so far.

They'll probably face Albany next and I think they need to be much better against them. I'm not too worried, but in the playoffs, defence is huge and Albany has the best defence in the conference plus they added some scoring depth at the end of the season.

AHL scheduling is weird as heck, but oh well.

Very good job getting another win. Props to Sparks for getting the shutout. Managed to come back to the AHL and maintain the level of play he had there.

Now the long wait until game 3.
