Already a Canada and a US thread, I'll start a Sweden one.

Elias Lindholm - Mika Zibanejad - Sebastian Collberg
Filip Forsberg - William Karlsson -Pontus Ã…berg
Max Friberg - Victor Rask - Emil Lundberg
Ludwig Blomstrand - Joachim Nermark - Jacob de la Rose

Oscar Klefbom - Jonas Brodin
Tom Nilsson - Hampus Lindholm
Mikael Wikstrand - Ludvig Byström

Oscar Dansk
Niklas Lundström

This is assuming Ottawa lets Zibanejad go. He could be in the NHL.

-As someone already wrote. Friberg is too old.
-Blomstrand? Really?
-Arvidsson is in the lead of Team Swedens internal scoreboard, 4 games into Lake Placid tourney. I'd be very surprised if he's left out.

Arvidsson, Froberg and Bengtsson had good camps, so good that I'd have them all on the team right now.

The best possible team as of today would be something like:
Rakell-Zibanejad-Collberg
Aberg-Karlsson-Forsberg
Lundberg-Rask-E.Lindholm
Froberg-Boyce-Gortz
Arvidsson

If/when Zibanejad becomes unavailable play E.Lindholm as a top6 center, insert Arvidsson on the third line. A lot of guys like Nermark, Lilliestrom-Karlsson etc. will challenge for bottom line spots. Sorensen will be interesting to follow early in the season. I don't think any -95 born will grab a forward spot.

Klefbom-Brodin
Lindholm-Vikstrand
Nilsson-Bystrom
Bengtsson

If/when Brodin becomes unavailable pair Lindholm(could become unavailable aswell) with Klefbom and play them as much as possible really. I'm not sold on our defensive depth this year, especially if we lose guys to the NHL, but there are many guys I would label as solid. I'd probably look to add a really good PP guy, felt like that was lacking during this camp.

Lundstrom

Sörensen could make the team if he has a great season next year. Odds are against him though, he plays in the wrong league and has not played for the national teams in a while.

I am pretty sure Arvidsson will make the team. He looks like the type of player RR likes and could be the Thorell of next years team. Plays with lots of energy and will.

I also think Emil Molin will have a good season next year and make the team but lots of guys will be competing for the last forward spots, David Lillieström Karlsson is another candidate. Defense is easier to predict if Klefbom, Lindholm and Brodin are available.

Way to early to predict what the actual lines and such will look like but Joe89, i think, pretty much got it nailed down.

I'd like some of our younger players to make it but that's most likely not going to happen since these kinds of tournaments is often decided by the maturity of the players.

As i said, way to early, but this is the team i'd like to see, assuming Zibanejad and Brodin are not available and my predictions for the different prospect are somewhat accurate;

Forsberg - Karlsson - Ã…berg"A"
Lundberg - Rask - Collberg
Rakell"A" - E.Lindholm - Görtz
Burakovsky - Sörensen - Schumacher
Molin/Possler

Klefbom"C" - Byström
H.Lindholm - Vikstrand
S.Karlsson - Bengtsson
Hägg

Dansk
Lundström

If only i was coach...

(we'd do terrible);)

no Klefbom and Brodin kills them

That's what they said last year when Larsson and Landeskog were missing. Klefbom was far from a lock last year and then he made the All-star team. Lots of interesting D on this team that many in NA have never heard about, I would however have picked some differently.

The surprises on this team are:

1. No Ã…berg
2. Linus Fröberg (Will likely be cut)
3. Nick Sörensen (I really like this one)

Also, looks like the Swedish hockey federation is pretty unhappy with Ottawa's decision to not release Zibanejad. They will contact them again but chances are still small.

11 undrafted players, at least five sure to be drafted in the summer though. Cutting 2nd rounders like Aberg and Bystrom is bold but justified.

It sounds like the Swedish federation is trying to grease the wheels a bit with Ottawa, that if NHL play resumes Zibanejad will go back even if it's mid-tournament. Don't think it's gonna help much though.
