being positive instead of snarky and vicious blows ... talking people off the ledge is tiring , wish i could yell at home games like 1975 as carriere was alot like blowyou , drove me nuts as a nine year old , it would be easier to pass out party favors while i steal all your weapons, pitchforks and nooses while pre occupied w my naked assistant.. you've turned me into a rational old man... bleak.

Not that any of you are wrong in your assessments, I'm witnessing (..and seeing evidence that on the whole we are more skilled, talented than Boston..) , kids handling pressure like kids (except Dahlin and JAllen so far), gripping those sticks too tightly including the lead punk, not having any fun, and the slow tedious learning of unspoken communication between linemates that is not as effortless with less multidimensional specialists.. Excuses to keep taking the acid..

If Edmonton and us both look terrible for the first 10-15 games I hope we re-explore the rumored Ristolainen to Edmonton trade. Could be a nice change of scenery trade for both teams.

I like those. Would switch E-Rod snd Reinhart but you’ve put together the speed we have as well in the top 6 and the bottom 6 could hopefully work as meat shields...

I wanted Mitts to play more, but he probably would have been around 13/14-ish minutes if we weren't protecting a 1 goal lead and didn't take so many penalties. I remember Berglund being out there for almost the entire last 3 minutes of the game

They should probably trust Skinner a bit more at ES long-term (he's probably their most dangerous offensive player given Eichel's matchup situation), but this isn't particularly alarming. Zemgus is up there due to playing 3.5 minutes on the PK, and Sheary got bumped up to PP1 for the night. Skinner-Berglund-Okposo was clearly the #2 line 5v5. This also wasn't the gamescript you'd expect Casey to get run in.

Hopefully Jeff can build some chemistry with Mittelstadt on PP2, and take over some shifts for his bodyguard in less dangerous situations.

Okposo is going to have to go. Whether buyout or AHL, he just doesn't have a place here long term. Hopefully Botts is able to find a way to do it without letting it interfere with the rest of the rebuild. Equipment allergy / chronic back pain style.

I would try sending Thompson down. Sheary has played RW before and can switch either side, this could strengthen our right side and allow for someone like Nylander to get in 9 games at least to see if he sticks. With Larsson back we can afford to move ERod up the line, Skinner on the 3rd line can carry that line with Berglund taking the faceoffs and Pomminville helping drive the play.

When they start scoring and dominating on even strength then you can tell me they are working. Sheary got moved to keep Reinhart and Eichel together since I moved Sheary to the right side if you haven't noticed.

If we could do that I would be doing cartwheels. Unfortunately the cap guru we have running things has us in a position where we have no cap room at all and signing Nylander would be almost impossible.

I would try the different line combos early on in the season to see what works and what doesn't, Sheary didn't play a single pre season game, him and Mittlestadt could end up being a more dynamic pair than with Reinhart-Eichel who are already a good pair and could use anyone else on the LW.
