We now have the worst bottom 4 in the league with this.

Yes, they can defend.

And defend. And defend. And defend. And then defend some more.

Yeah my whole point is we need more defenseman who move the puck. It's been twisted every which way by people wanting to sound like geniuses.

I also think they would look better if the forwards didnt fly out of the zone while forecheckers bear down on their D-men

You added Jones, who, in defense of the Rangers, legitimately wasn't that good. I think he deserves a shot but that could easily blow up in our faces. You subtracted Lindgren who actually has a decent first pass.

Its like getting hemmed in your own zone for 40 minutes a game helps you learn how to defend better..shame we don't try that crazy concept with offense

Lindgren is a product of Fox using the Time Stone to slow everything down. He's still a 0 offensively and in need of a new contract that will handicap us. There are very valid reasons to move him now.

You suggested moving Schneider which Im also interested in in the right deal, as much as I like him. He's blocked and has a ton of value around the league, we could use the ELC though

Lindgren is fine.

Trouba and Miller are the ones getting caved in constantly.

There is hope for Schneider but I think he needs an actual system. a kid like that is going to look lost in Gallant's 'go out there and play' pickup hockey system.

Don't disagree with you on Lindgren.

I just think we need a bit more. The upgrade from Mikkola to Gostisbehere is very stark.

If there's one glaring achilles heel in the roster @NYR Viper suggested (and again, not on you at all, awesome job working with what you have), it's right here:

Lafreniere-Zibanejad-Kaako
Kreider-Trochek-Brown/Garland
Panarin-Chytil-Garland/Brown
Motte-Eller/Acciari-Vesey

I anxiously await the player showing me anything to the contrary.

Zadarov is a moron.

If you think Trouba is dumb, wait until you see him.

Makes Trouba look like Lidstrom.
I can tolerate some mistakes. His game has improved under Sutter ( or since leaving Colorado. )

Getting caved in and providiing nothing but a big open ice hit once in a while is what killed me with Trouba this season. He's quickly deteriorating.

I'd take Zadarov +4.3M in cap space over Trouba right now.

I could see a scenario where, with the right coach, and the right linemates picked by said coach that aren't his buds, Panarin could be very successful.

I don't see any scenario in which Lafreniere isn't dragging down whoever he's playing with unless he gets a lot better.

Its going to be a long offseason...
Well too many clowns in playoffs and I miss Rick Nash and Martin from Tampa - he is a coach now, but he skate faster than Kane so we better not pay him next season
I dont enjoy watching the same team next season - they need to do some new trades.

Panarin cost too much without performing in playoffs for 2 years a bit soft.
I also think we need a new coach, because Gallant dont get enough out of top talents. We also need a new person who can take decisions while we are in a draft situation and in that process. It has not been good in the last (5-8) years.

Howden was legitimately the worst player in the league as our 4th line C, and last night he was dangling Draisatl as Vegas' 2nd line LW.

If we trade Laf, he's going to go somewhere else and start putting up 90-100 points per year. It's the Ranger way.
