Guys will be anywhere from 25-27 at that point so you have to get what you can cause when the time comes for contract #3 unless you are a QB it’s likely to be signed with another team cause your current team will have gotten your best years and won’t want to pay a premium for your 30’s whereas other teams are looking to fill a need.Feel bad for Thomas - and totally understand him refusing to play. What the Hawks did was smart though. Their only failing was perhaps not trading him earlier, but paying him would clearly have been a mistake now. Here he is gone for the year again.
