Not really, he and Poehling were both versatile last season.
That's a good fourth line, but they may need to play in their own zone to help out our weak defence. No place on the top 9 for him right now. I expect him to play 4th line with Evans and Armia. Pezzetta will be forward 13.
Not bad hope he can continue his production from last year.
"extra year" (fourth) = the year Matheson starts out as 31 and turns 32?If the Petry deals allowed this, at least that's positive. Still dislike the extra year on the cap that Matheson brings.
+ the #1 goalie who is very iffy. That's a good fourth line, but they may need to play in their own zone to help out our weak defence.
Seven of the eight D that got us to the Stanley Cup final are gone in 12 months.
StephensHe’s going to need the same amount of ice time. Center insurance if we get an injury?
Who’s our 5th depth center now?
Pitlick can play the three forward positions. He did play center a bit last year too. He’s going to need the same amount of ice time. Center insurance if we get an injury?

Habs centerline is rather sketchy after Suzuki. Dvorak could be better. Dach is an enigma.who has lots of work to do in all aspects of his game. Evans is one concussion away from retirement.Yes he did play center but was not very good at the 200’ part
If he plays well he'll be easily flippable with that cap hit.If the Petry deals allowed this, at least that's positive. Still dislike the extra year on the cap that Matheson brings.

Poehling isn't that good. 4th liner.Rem Pitlick isn’t part of our future. We’re gonna regret Poehling.
Pitlick and Hoffman can play center, and so can Drouin. Not ideal. We could sign a replacement level 4C like in the old days (Malhotra, Thompson, Mitchell).Habs centerline is rather sketchy after Suzuki. Dvorak could be better. You already digested that horrible trade? Kudos. This makes the Petry trade (even) more digestible.
Very happy have him back
As another poster said...You already digested that horrible trade? Kudos.
It's interesting why didn't a team like Toronto that's cap-strapped didn't go for him this year? Seems like a perfect gamble to get more production than the salary. This is a player/contract that can return a ton at the deadline. Similar to Brendan Hagel.
If Rem can be 25G/30A at 1.1M, that could be a contract that could bring back a ton at this years deadline cause the salary is so cheap and it’s for 2 years. I wouldn’t expect 2 firsts but certainly that’s the type of contract that can bring back a 1st if he continues his play
