I'm a Reimer fan but he has to go at this point, because the keys to the car have been given to Bernier and we have to see where he takes us. Having a disgruntled backup is not a good plan, and having a well liked teammate (assuming Reimer is) in an uncomfortable situation.
Plus Reimer has not shown he can be consistent in limited play....once his starts became irregular his play dropped. Not a good backup option.
Plus this will put more pressure on Bernier if the Leafs send Reimer away. We need to see how he reacts.
