Clearly I'm in the minority. I liked smith and thought he go **** on too much here. Hope Hayes can live up to the hype.

Love this deal so much.

Love Sweeney's creativity.

Shedding Savard now means something is up

I loved the trade without the Savard hit gone, this is amazing...

Why could Chia get rid of Smith and Savard last year and Keep Boychuck... Why did it take a Harvard kid to figure this out???

This deal could be okay, depending on what it costs to resign Hayes. If it's reasonable and we got out from under Smith's deal, great. If he signs for the same, meh.

Reilly Smith for Jimmy Hayes?

I like it. Don't know much about Hayes other than his stats and his a big body.

But to no longer have to watch Smith on this Boston team brings a smile to my face.

He can go to Florida, put up 20 goals and I'll still be glad to not have to watch him anymore.

Sending the Savard contract to FLA is a bonus.

Haye's ice time finally went from 4th line 10 mins a night to 15 minute 3rd line duty last year playing with semi decsent talent and he responded with 19 goals. Playing with Bergeron or Krejci, I can see him popping close to 30 this year.
