Don't see either Detroit or Boston doing this, Boston has no use for Frans Nielsen and Boston would need to attach a pick or prospect to John Moore for DET to take him.

John Moore isn't THAT bad in my opinion. He's currently the 2nd pair LD. Problem is, he'll likely (and hopefully) be surpassed by our prospects (2 of Zboril, Lauzon, or Vaakanainen). Currently, before the prospects get a chance, at under 3M that's not awful. At least not awful enough to justify Boston to pay someone to take him. It's when he becomes a healthy scratch becomes the issue.

Keep in mind Bruins LD slots were Chara, Krug, Gryz, and Moore last year when healthy. With half of those guys gone, that makes Moore go from healthy scratch to regular by default. IMO, he's a bottom pair, that can slide up to the top 4 during injuries but not long term. If they are indeed serious about clearing capspace to sign someone, then sure, it could happen. Otherwise, Bruins likely keep him incase the kids don't step up.
