I agree Miller won't be passed by kids. Babcock is literally in love with him. He is a solid PK guy. He has the 4th line LW spot locked down at the very least.

Assuming everyone is healthy, our bottom 6 probably looks like

Abdelkader - Legwand/ Weiss - Tatar
Miller/ Callahan - Helm/ Sheahan/ Andersson - Glendening/ Ferraro

Can assume that Helm will be injured for at least a chunk of time. Andersson and Sheahan will get preference over smaller players. Glendening will get preference over Ferraro and Callahan because of experience. Miller won't come out of the line up unless he is hurt. Ferraro and Callahan will be battling for every second of ice time they get next year.

Give or take. I have the line-up looking like this:

Z-Dats-Alfredsson
Franzen-Weiss-Nyquist
Tatar-Legwand-Sheahan
Miller-Helm-Abdelkader

Always going to be an injury at any given time up front. Andersson will play likely every game if he can stay healthy. Jurco starts off in the minors but plays around 60 games in the NHL. Callahan/Ferraro, one of them is lost to waivers. Other is an extra or passes waivers. Glendening travels with the team as well. Tootoo is bought out. One of Callahan/Ferraro travel with the team perhaps, but I do not see both up.

I agree with all of that. I'm just ignoring the fact that we're likely going to lose an NHL calibre player for nothing so as to not lose what remains of my hair.

That defense is just as bad as this year's defense. And that can't happen going forward.
