The major differences between the two is that Kane is chasing down Bellemare and Reaves is reacting to Wilson approaching him. Also, Reaves doesn't seem to be looking at where he's cross checking. He still needs to have better control of his stick. At most it's a fine.

I'm not sure I've seen the logic applied to a suspendible play but this definitely is something the refs take into account.
