Bitetto is a number 6, and Josi is only an offensive 1, not a complete 1.
If we're just using corsi then Ekholm is a number 2 easily as well as Ellis.Bitetto is a number 6, and Josi is only an offensive 1, not a complete 1.
Leddy - #2
Hamonic - #2
Boychuk - #4
de Haan - #4
Hickey - #5
Seidenberg - #5
Two number one defenseman and a 2/3 tweener means that defense has extreme stability no matter who's out there. How are you expecting them to be top 5 or top 1 in goals against based on 2 out of 18-23 players being defensively great? (Hamilton is an offensive defenseman). Hockey is a team sport

Leading the league in goals given up means it's obvious the Flames don't have two number one defenseman.
:
Karlsson #1
Methot #3
Phaneuf #3
Ceci #4
Wideman #6
Boro #8
I suspect a month from now Id be comfortable calling Wideman a #5.
I'd agree with this. Although Methot is playing like a #2 this season so far.
